We want to give you some information about some of the Courts that you may have been sued in. This is designed to be general information to get you started if you need a phone number or an address.

Jefferson County District And Small Claims Court

In Birmingham, we have three judges:  Judges Amari, Bynon, and Lowther.  These three judges preside over both District Court and Small Claims Court.

The address is 716 Richard Arrington, Jr. Blvd. N., Birmingham, AL 35203.

This is the main courthouse in Birmingham — the one connected to Linn Park.

As with most courthouses, there is security so make sure you don’t take anything that resembles a weapon or knife as you won’t be able to take that in.  Also keep in mind that you will want to get to court early as there may be a line at the security checkpoints.
